Just Energy examines your site to determine its suitability for a solar installation and assesses your current energy use. We develop a financial model appropriate for the project—establishing PPA pricing and structure as well as customer savings. At this point, we and our customers agree to a Letter of Intent (LOI): an agreement to sign a PPA after further analysis of the project is completed.
Just Energy designs and engineers your solar photovoltaic system, arranges the necessary financing, and submits appropriate applications for incentives and rebates. All permits are obtained and all equipment and components procured. The timing of this phase varies depending upon system size and complexity.
Installation is typically completed in a couple of weeks. We manage the renewable power certification process and perform testing to identify baseline use and savings. We arrange the interconnection with the facility’s existing electrical infrastructure and the utility grid. Following a third-party’s inspection approval, we activate your system and generate clean, renewable energy from the sun.
Your solar energy system is fully operational! Using state-of-the-art technology, Just Energy monitors and controls the system 365 days a year, for the life of the PPA. Monitoring systems have the ability to track a wealth of data from each individual panel and update information every 15 seconds. In the event of a drop in system performance, we deploy certified technicians quickly to keep systems running at optimum levels of performance.
