Grounds
- All roof types can work – If sloped, south facing is considerably more desirable.
- Minimum of 5,000 square feet of un-shaded roof space.
- Relatively new roof with a minimum of 10 years additional life and solid underlying building structure.
- Capable of bearing additional weight (approximately 5 lbs. per square foot.).
Energy
- Current energy consumption of 10,000 kWh AC per month or more.
- Sites should be on a commercial rate structure.
- Located in an area where existing utility prices are higher than national average, net metering laws are in place, and solar incentives are available from the state or local utility.
Financial
- Must own the building or hold a long-term lease.
- Customer must be a well established entity with good credit / a strong balance sheet.
Grounds
- Ground mounted systems and parking shade structures require at least one acre of unused, un-shaded space.
